Devils on Horseback
1-12oz pack of Organic or high-quality Medjool Dates
4 oz English Stilton cheese
1 -2 packages 12 oz Maple Sugar Small Batch Bacon Strips.
One (1) box of toothpicks
Preheat oven to 450°F
Split the dates lengthwise, keeping one side attached (so they form a little shell) and remove the pits.
Stuff each date with ample cheese. Remember, some of the cheese will melt and drip out of the date while cooking so don't be afraid to use more cheese than you think you need.
Cut bacon strips in half since you only need to wrap the date once. Wrap a piece of bacon around each date and secure it with a toothpick.
Lay the wrapped dates on a foil lined cookie sheet. Use a rack if you have one.
Bake for 20-25 minutes depending on how crispy you want the bacon.
